TSA pre-check will save you around 5m of queuing per US domestic flight. Is it worth it? No, obviously not. Because to save those tiny amounts of time, you must fill out all the paperwork and attend an in person appointment. Let us assume that will take 3 or 4 hours. Then you need to fly 50 times to net up. you must renew it every 5 years so 50 US domestic flights in 5 years, i.e. one trip every 2 months.

So TSA pre-check, garbage for almost everyone.

Why not? The payout seems pretty bad.

I ran the numbers for two games, the payout for each was 67%. I.e. if you win an average of $2 for each $3 ticket. It’s easy to find online scratch cards which payout over 90%, that’s lots more.

My math is not thorough. I’ve not done every game. It’s not been peer reviewed. Please let me know of any correction to the math in the comments below.
